Edgar set to Join Douglas Motorsport
2020 will see Tom join British F3, Ginetta Junior and Super Cup Championship-winning race team Douglas Motorsport as he embarks on his maiden season in Ginetta Juniors.
Headed-up by experienced racing driver and former British Formula Vauxhall champion, not to mention Mclaren Autosport Award Young Driver of the Year nominee, Wayne Douglas, the wealth of experience within the team is immense.
Wayne won Irish and British titles before running a successful driver development programme for over 10 years.
Ginetta Juniors
The Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK’s longest running and most prestigious junior series.
Offering the first step on the motorsport ladder for 14-17 year old racing drivers, it gives aspiring teenage drivers the experience of a lifetime, kick-starting their journey towards racing stardom in front of a massive trackside audience and millions of fans at home.
Using the multi-disciplined Ginetta G40, the championship is a proven tool in the development of young drivers. It’s no surprise that the motorsport world is full of racing stars who started their careers in the Ginetta Junior paddock.
I can’t think of many series in the UK that can keep an audience on the edge of their seats for the entire duration of a race, but my word the Ginetta Juniors do just that!

“I’m really excited for the next stage in my racing career. I’m looking forward to working with Douglas Motorsport in the build up to next year’s season and to develop my race-craft. They’re really impressive and I’ve loved the time I have spent with them so far.” – Tom Edgar
